I come from a family of teachers. Both of parents have a master’s degree in education, and my little sister teaches in a montessori system. Thank God they’re all better the teachers in this thread compiled by Bored Panda.
Twitter user @irlcatboy asked people to tell their worst teacher stories, and the responses were unbelievable. Let’s commiserate with a few, shall we?
1. Kicking things off

2. I can use some quick four letter words if you’d prefer
I got in trouble in elementary school for using, "big words" , got yelled at for using the word vexed. Was told i should just say angry, If I meant angry I would have said angry.

3. Dude. DUDE.
Had an English teacher tell some kid in our class (mid teens) “Look we all know your parents died this year but that’s no excuse for your attitude”
He was simply talking in class. Everyone was mortified. The kid was crushed.

4. 10 and 2, buddy
Driver’s ed teacher put his hand on my knee while I was driving. I “accidentally” swerved through a curve in the rain and it slid him across the seat into the door.

5. Let’s hope she wasn’t the science teacher
Teacher refused to believe I had epilepsy. She claimed that I was just lazy and didn’t pay attention in school. “Absence seizures” were just an excuse in her ears. Doctor’s note didn’t help, and neither did a major convulsive seizure on the school steps.

6. It’s not assault if it’s…a kid?
One of my English teachers at boarding school once hit me across the back of my head so hard that I saw stars, had a headache for days, couldn’t move my neck without pain for weeks … For ‘daydreaming’.I was 13.

7. What a piece of shirt
In 4th grade our art teacher (who was a reprehensible human being all around) got clay all over my new shirt and when i got upset she told me to get over it and “this isnt a fashion show.” This woman would literally sit there and paint her nails during class

8.Cruel, but fair
My 9th grade English teacher told me I would never make it as a writer as I had no talent & should give up. 20 years later he sent in a spec piece to the magazine I was the Arts Editor for. I sent him a lovely personalized rejection letter.

9.(He’s a professional artist now)
I was running late with an essay that counted for 1/3 of the final grade for yr12 art. Teacher told me to hand in what I had (very rough draft) so she could check. She tore it up and put it in the bin because “it was messy”.
I failed art.
