If you live in the suburbs, or maybe the middle of nowhere, you might not understand the true, agonizing frustration that comes with loud neighbors. But something like 37% of Americans live in apartments, and for us, a single loud neighbor can turn that dwelling from a dream to a nightmare real quick.
Unless you’re in a luxury building with exceptionally sound-proof walls, there’s not much between you and the folks you share a building with.
It can drive a person to do…desperate things. Like this example on r/PettyRevenge:
User vomitmysoul (metal name, dude) shared their tale of volume wars, and if the comments section is anything to go off of, they’re far from alone.
Some folks sub ’em into submission.

I’ve got some loud neighbors myself. Hard to get too mad because their taste in music is pretty damn good, but still, they yielded after a couple of polite notes. Not exactly an exciting story, but, probably the approach we need in order to all get along while we’re spending more time at home.
