In a perfect world, what goes on behind closed doors and inside relationships wouldn’t be anyone’s business other than the people involved.
That’s not the world we live in, though, for so many reasons, and most of us have that friend, family member, or even acquaintance who thinks they’re somehow entitled to details about our personal lives.
This woman begins by telling us that she’s happily married, but her sister-in-law (who also married into the family) is prudish, judgmental, and doesn’t like the way OP (original poster) parents, wifes, or generally lives her life.
More relevant information: OP and her husband enjoy threesomes and swinging (not that it’s anyone’s business), and her friend is one of their sleepover buddies.
The sister-in-law showed up unannounced one morning after the three of them had a sleepover. She said she was there to pick something up, then quickly made an excuse to use the bathroom…and chose to go into the master bathroom, where she saw the husband and friend asleep in the bed.
The sister-in-law freaked out on him after OP pretended to be shocked, but the ruse was up fairly quickly.
The husband thought it was hilarious, but his brother did not (maybe because his wife walked into his brother’s bedroom first thing in the morning?).
She wants to know if she was wrong to put it all out there that way, but most people agree she wasn’t – after all, when you’re nosy, sometimes you find things out that you wish you hadn’t.
And yeah, more than one person pointed out that going into your brother-in-law’s bedroom expecting him to be naked or asleep is hella weird.
Most people had the sister-in-law’s number – she’s a Karen looking for reasons to feel better than the people around her, probably because of her own insecurities.
Some people wanted to be a fly on the wall to hear how she painted the situation once she got back home.
And pretty much even the people who came prepared to chastise OP couldn’t find a reason to do so.
Do you think she went too far?
I think you go snooping, whatever your see or learn is on you – good or bad, you went looking!
